INT. BACK PORCH, KETTS AND ALLEN’S ʜᴏᴜꜱᴇ

There is a backshot of both Allen and Ketts as they unravel the “strange new room” Ketts was talking about in [home video]. For some strange reason,  the details of the “room” cannot be filmed; showcasing an eerie black void, stretching on for miles. The camera is filming them from possibly hidden behind the bush.

Upon closer inspection, we can discern a soft singing; a melodic chorus humming through the wind. There are no words, no speech and no language in rhythm, only a dissonance of noise.

KETTS

I was jus’ following the

scent trail, Allen.

That’s when I saw this.

ALLEN

You’re saying Cleo went in there?

Did she come out?

KETTS

I dunno. I know for a fact that

she’s been in there for weeks.

ALLEN

Poor girl.

The “room” seems to get bigger, and with that, the outside seems to drift farther and farther apart. Something is terribly wrong with this ʜᴏᴜꜱᴇ. Allen hitches and Ketts takes one step back, away from the strange situation they’ve found themselves in. Both are terrified and unnerved by this, but an awful compulsion lures them closer.

The camera begins to tilt as it zooms in. The cacophony of notes gets louder. There is nowhere else to turn. There is nowhere else to run.

KETTS

I’m…

[STERN]

I’m going in there.

ALLEN

You’re crazy.

KETTS

I’m already crazy. What’s the point?

ALLEN

My point is, it’s already killed

and eaten our dog, and chances are

that it’s going to do the same

to you if you go in there.

KETTS

So we’re going to just leave it?

ALLEN

Well, it’s better if we move out.

Ketts looks at Allen. He looks disgruntled at Allen’s idea.

KETTS

Are you kidding me? You’re just going

to let this… thing slip under the door

and latch onto someone else?

Do you even hear yourself?

ALLEN

What do you suggest we do, then?

KETTS

I’d say we get to the bottom of this labyrinth.

…Before it gets to anyone else.
